EducationCounsel combines experience in policy, strategy, law, and advocacy to support significant improvements in the U.S. education system. It is driven by the urgent need to close achievement gaps and transform education outcomes for all children from Pre-K through postsecondary education. It collaborates with BranchED, recognizing that a critical component of this effort lies in bridging the diversity gap in our nation’s classrooms.
Huston-Tillotson University is committed to a mission of nurturing leadership and excellence in education. Mary Elizabeth Branch successfully transformed the college into a 4-year, co-educational undergraduate school with an “A” rating from the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools from 1930-1944. In honor of this legacy, the university has donated space on its campus to house the BranchED headquarters.
