Social Emotional Learning (2 days)
April 27, 2021 - April 28, 2021

In this 2-hour/2-day workshop (April 27 and April 28), participants will learn strategies for applying Social Emotional Learning (SEL) both in higher education and K-12 classrooms. Day 1 (12:00 pm – 2:00 pm CDT) will focus on modeling SEL in the higher education classroom with teacher candidates. Day 2 (12:00 pm – 2:00 pm CDT) will move SEL into K-12 classrooms to ensure that teacher candidates have the skillsets they need to effectively practice SEL with K-12 students. The workshop will be facilitated by Valeisha Ellis, Ph.D. Co-facilitators include Tiffany D. Pogue, PhD, Brittany Gibson, and Jhanai Clark.
