Abstract: Teaching with infographics is a way to integrate multi-modality into face-to-face and online teaching, increasing inclusivity through options for accessing content. This two-hour workshop will guide participants through the use of infographics to aid instruction and will end with strategies for assessing learning with infographics. The session will begin by addressing how and why infographics can be useful in supplementing the teaching of educational concepts followed by practical tips for applying in the teacher education classroom. Simpler is better in the world of instructional infographics! This workshop will share ways to create infographics that are quick to make and do not require artistic training yet are universally understood. The session will culminate with examples of infographic assessment, a demonstration, and an opportunity to practice making an infographic.
