Intersectional Identities in Global Teacher Training: A Future-Focused Approach
This webinar will focus on a toolkit that was created as part of a project that sought to internationalize teacher education. It includes developing pedagogical practices that prepare preservice teacher candidates to succeed in cross-cultural contexts and participate effectively in the global economy. By highlighting the prominence of culturally relevant pedagogy, equity, voice, agency, and multicultural/multilingual competencies, this webinar showcases how Minority Serving Institutions Educator Preparation Programs can cultivate global competence in teacher education. Join us as we explore curricular design and implementation strategies for cross-cultural experiential learning and discuss the implications for preparing teachers for the complexities of a globalized world.
